about Trey Lucas
Trey Lucas grew up in rural Oklahoma. His father was a dentist and his mother, a teacher. Trey received a B.B.A. with an emphasis in Marketing from Texas Christian University. Trey was in the Phi Delta Theta fraternity while at TCU. He then went on to the University of Oklahoma School of Architecture where he graduated with Honors with a Bachelor of Architecture.
While at OU Trey served as an intern at Architects in Partnership, a small firm specializing in educational facilities. Upon graduation Trey was employed by Rees Associates in Dallas for 7 years in the broadcast and healthcare divisions. He moved on to Page Sutherland Page working on education, healthcare, and tech projects. Trey created his own firm and relocated to Atlanta in 2002.
One of his most notable designs is a multimillion dollar hospital in Istanbul, Turkey. Other projects include numerous TV stations for ABC affiliates, medical office buildings along with assisted and independent living campuses while employed at Rees Associates and Page Southerland Page.
He is married with two daughters and a wife who works in the IT field. They attend the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany in Decatur, GA. He is a member of the Decatur Business Association and the German Shorthair Pointer Club of Atlanta.
Trey is licensed in 13 states (GA, FL, NC, SC, VA, WV, TX, TN, CO, MD, WY, PA and NV)
While Trey Lucas is a licensed architect, he has also been the general contractor for new home construction along with many residential renovations and additions. He has been the Construction Manager for Sprint and AT & T retail tenant buildouts and for a free-standing LNG/diesel fueling station in College Park, GA for Blu out of Salt Lake City.
Trey Lucas Architecture currently works on residential and small to midsize commercial projects. His residential architecture consists of new construction design and renovations that include popping the roof top off for a second story as well expansions of traditional single floor homes. His commercial jobs range from retail developments, car washes, convenience stores, data centers and medical office buildings. Which includes vanilla box to tenant finish upgrades. The tenant finish outs clients include Sprint, Smoothie King, Hardees, Z-Pizza, AT & T, and Highland Bakery.
